SAATHI - Cancer Action Group | Club Onboarding Form

Every step is a journey towards awareness. šŸŽ—ļø

Warm Greetings!

With great pride and purpose, we share the expanded scope of Saathi for the Rotary Year 2026-27 — from a breast cancer awareness initiative to Saathi, Cancer Action Group.

The word Saathi means "companion" — and true to its name, this team embodies the spirit of standing together in the fight against breast cancer and cervical cancer. This isn't a launch — it's a renewed commitment to a movement that has already made a lasting impact, now moving forward with a wider mandate, more structure, and greater visibility.

We are privileged to continue working hand-in-hand with the esteemed Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Team of Rotary District 3011, blending their experience with the dynamic energy of youth volunteers across Rotaract clubs, NSS units, Girl Up clubs, and other partner student/youth organisations.

Saathi now welcomes any registered student or youth organisation — Rotaract club, NSS unit, Girl Up club, or similar — to join this action group, regardless of Rotary affiliation.

šŸ“Š Last Year's Highlights (2025-26)

  • Hosted Pink Pulse, our flagship webinar — 550+ registrations, 400+ live participants, 42 collaborating clubs (25 RID 3011, 17 other districts), reaching 80+ clubs and partner organisations
  • Onboarded 20 partner clubs into the Saathi action group
  • Supported the District's Cycle Rally for Breast Cancer with on-ground volunteer mobilisation
  • Conducted a cervical & breast cancer training session with Rtn. Dr. Savita Chopra, building volunteer readiness for screening and health-camp support
  • Cumulatively, conducted dozens of awareness sessions and facilitated hundreds of breast cancer screenings

šŸŽÆ Our Vision for 2026-27

With cervical cancer now core to our mandate, this year's efforts focus on three objectives:

  1. Expanded Outreach and Collaboration — new partner zones, stronger collaborations, wider awareness seminars and webinars covering both cancers.
  2. Supporting Awareness Projects — contributing to RID 3011's efforts on screening, HPV vaccination awareness, and prevention.
  3. Active Volunteering and Engagement — a dedicated volunteer force at District events, campaigns, and seminars covering both causes.

Each participating club is requested to appoint a dedicated Point of Contact (POC) for coordination through the year.

šŸ… Recognition

Clubs meeting the following are officially recognised for their commitment:

  • Conduct at least 2 breast/cervical cancer awareness seminars (online/offline)
  • Actively participate in inter-club and district webinars and awareness drives

Saathi bridges Rotary's dedication with the energy of Rotaract clubs, NSS units, Girl Up clubs, and partner organisations — together, educating, empowering, and uplifting communities in the fight against breast and cervical cancer.

Let's carry this expanded identity forward with purpose and unity — because with Saathi, no one walks alone.
